Ode to Canberra

Actually, I'm too tired to odify my musings. I'll just write in prose that Derek and I visited Canberra for two friends' wedding on the weekend, and it was lovely. So much reminiscence, driving into the mist, driving in the country - and I'm just talking about Belconnen Way - driving through the poplars with autumn colours already showing. Fresh wintery goodness. Lots of romantic memories of fires and friends wearing fluffy jackets and drinking beer after exams.

But, by the end of the day, my lips were turning blue and I longed for the crampy joy of Sydney again. Funny, isn't it?

Hi Anna - you made me remember good things about Canberra (I love that place!) and since we're looking at a week of 40 degree weather here in India it's nice to think of fog and lips turning blue! xx Donna
